Just in case you’ve been wondering what the company’s name means… The two friends and founding partners, Joey Cofone and Adam Kornfield, based their company name on the idea of pairing discipline and impulse—the discipline to work hard and the impulse to think outside the box. According to Cofone, the Greek gods/brothers Apollo (discipline) and Dionysus (impulse) represent this dichotomy perfectly. “Baron” is derived from the Apollonian symbol of a soldier, and “Fig” is a symbol of Dionysus. There you go.
