Senior Full Stack Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Take a lead role in building complex software systems including architectural proposals, code reviews, and hands-on coding
  • Ensure technical designs support our goals of quality, performance, scalability and security
  • Design scalable APIs from scratch and implement to power customer facing and internal tools: public e-commerce site, internal Gift Manager, inventory management and supplier dashboard
  • Develop integrations with common SAAS software: Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Human Resource Management (HRM), and Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
  • Work with executive team to set priorities and create a long-term product roadmap
  • Collaborate with designers in product development
  • Create an engineering culture of ownership, accountability, testing, and measurement

You would be a good fit for this role if you have:

  • 3-5+ years experience in web development
  • Good understanding of frontend technologies such as Javascript, HTML5, CSS3
  • Experience with Javascript frameworks such as AngularJS, React, or Vue
  • Strong knowledge of at least one server side language such as Ruby, Python, or Node
  • Strong knowledge of at least one database system such as Postgresql, Mysql, or Mongo
  • Strong Experience with API design is preferred
  • Familiarity with continuous integration/delivery systems such as Jenkins or similar
  • Experience deploying and monitoring web applications on Heroku, AWS, or other hosting services
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • The ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner
  • Strong ability to work in cross-functional teams and collaborate to make the greatest impact for the company
