Gemnote is a fast-growing, Y Combinator-backed startup that helps companies with all their premium gifting needs. We handle everything from curating and sourcing to wrapping and shipping. Our clients love our full-service gifting platform and they are some of the biggest companies in the world, including Google, Box, Salesforce, Starbucks and more. We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic about quality, design and great gifts! This is a part-time position averaging 20 hours per week. Additional hours may be available.


  • Maintain/enter purchase orders and follow-up with vendors to ensure deadlines are met
  • Set up SKUs, track shipments, and manage receiving in a very deadline-driven environment
  • Enter and update any data related to purchasing, inventory, and online lookbook
  • Work with accounts payable regarding supplier and vendor invoices
  • Assist with sourcing new products and negotiating prices across all categories
  • Regularly request samples and updated pricing from vendors
  • Help Buying Team develop seasonal assortment plans every quarter

You would be a good fit for this role if you have:

  • A four-year degree or equivalent work experience
  • Passionate about products and has a superb eye for high-quality goods and design
  • Excellent written/verbal communication, strong interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and interest in data/reporting
  • Some negotiation skills and proven track record of meeting SLAs
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Able to thrive in a high-stress and fast-paced environment
